Video Game Music

Wonderful collection of music! I've always felt that the music Bethesda had chosen for Morrowind/Oblivion was way too bland, and unsuggestive.
The explore songs really give me the feeling that I'm stepping out into a mysterious, enchanted world. The exception is track 2. That should be under battle music, really. That aside, I love the airiness in the atmosphere tracks. I've been using alot of dry, cheesy replacement tracks for exploration, so this should be a real refresher for me. 10/10. The public music definitely suggests, to me, a gods-blessed community. That ties in really well to the whole Nine-Devines thing. 10/10. As for the battle music, normally I'd go for the the less emmersive electronic 'squelching' adrenaline action music, but I truly love the battle music you've composed for this. It's very martial, which is a great theme for an Elder Scrolls installment set in the Imperial homeland. 9/10.I've downloaded ALOT of extra music for Oblivion in the course of its existence, and I have to say, I've never heard dungeon music like yours. The dungeon music you've created is consistent with the rest of your soundtrack, which is good. Other than with battle sequences, I'm irked at entering a different location in the game to be bombarded with music completely unrelated in style and genre to the previous area's music. I admire the approach your dungeon music takes where it dares to go a little beyond ambient. Honestly, it reminds me alot of dungeon music from the Zelda series. However, it doesn't necessarily go well with certain dungeon settings in Oblivion like caves and Ayelied ruins. Makes great music for forts and Oblivion gates though, so they're keepers. I would suggest making a few more slow-paced ambient dungeon songs though. 9/10.
As for the two extra tracks, I can't wait to implement the new victory track. It sounds much nicer, and isn't drawn out. The title theme will be unzipped into my music library, but will not be a part of my game music collection. It's just not... 'themey' enough. Does that make sense? :S It still is a really nice piece that I plan on listening to, just not on my game's title screen. Overall, very good job! 30/32 pieces of this collection will be my main Oblivion music score indefinitely. That's more songs from one package than from every other music replacer collection I've used, combined. That's a 10 in my book! saracAwesome, good conversion, gives me final fantasy felling while playing! smile.gif
haggman7Bravo, i am downloading this right now, while listening to some of your music on the site. I have actually thought of making some music of my own, my brother is really big into recording, and has hundreds of dollars worth of recording equipment, so i just might make some on my own. Once again, outstanding job. I rate this a 10!

Great stuff
This is the only music pack I'd use after listening to others
Some of the fight pieces work really well with the Shivering Isles expansion

This is some pretty high quality work that you've done here Doctor Eternal.
I'm listening to the music from your site, once I'm done I'll submit a rating. For a personal attempt I must say it's impressiveI mirror some of the comments from jtgibson (although I quite like the explore music)

Ok. wtf. This is completely awesome. I've spent the evening trolling through the various music mods and this music pack takes the cake. Your various themes, for one, sound great and sound professional. Second, they don't all sound the same. Your public tunes, for example, each have a distinct feel and it is obvious that they were made by someone who loves music, and loves fantasy.
The music is a little more 'busy' than the default soundtrack and a bit more distracting, but honestly it is just what I was looking for. The vanilla sound pack is frankly a little boring and leaves one cold after hours of play. I want music that will bring a strong emotional component to my game, and this friend, is it. Thank you, thank you, DoctorEternal. I rate this file a solid 10. aggressivepassivistsounds great, nice to have something new to listen to playin oblivion.

Love it!
Jesse_Dylan Musical taste is a subjective thing. For my part, I like this stuff. Someone said they didn't like the title theme. I do! It's not like Dr. E. was trying to redo the music or anything. He was giving the game a new soundtrack, his own spin. I like the original Oblivion music, but I'm honestly pretty sick of it. Playing with this new stuff will be great! Thanks, Dr. E.
